Extracurricular Activity (so to speak) Buddy Guy — Baby, Please Don’t Leave Me


Hubby and I were watching Hustle and Flow last night. I know that’s an old one — but good movies never really get old. Terrence Howard once again proved to be an outstanding actor. The rest of the crew was not bad either. Okay, okay. The main attraction to me, however, became the intro music to the movie. It is an awfully short snippet of a song played by Buddy Guy.  David Junior Kimbrough, who was an accomplished guitarist in his own right, wrote the piece as I found out while searching the said intro song …

This song is as powerful as electric Blues can possibly get. The song is from the Sweet Tea album (Jive, 2001) which is available here.
